By popular demand, we have extended the original two week run of Lucy and the Thoughts, through the end of the year! Check out this funny, sharp and heartfelt look at our inner battles. Tickets are “pay-what-you-can” and give you access to on-demand viewing through December 31st, 2021. You can watch anytime!
Have you ever had a “thinking meditation”? You’re supposed to be peaceful and silent, but instead your thoughts are like, “Hello, welcome, let us discuss everything ever!” Well, Lucy certainly has. And she’s ready to do battle with her talkative, bubble-blowing thoughts.
An original play initially created through improvisation with students at the Nirmal Arts Academy, and then adapted into a video-play by the performers, Lucy and the Thoughts is a funny, heart-felt, and sharp look at the inner battles of a meditator who is ready for the next phase of her growth.
Lucy, who has meditated her whole life, wants to be steady, steadfast – like a sailor who steers by the North Star. She’s done getting knocked off course by the chatter of her thoughts. But before her journey is over, she will have to face herself, mend a broken relationship, and – hardest of all – ask for help.
Lucy and the Thoughts will be streamed on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 pm [ET] and Sundays at 2:00 pm [ET], between November 26th and December 5th. Each streaming performance will be followed by live talk-backs or workshops with the artists. Though we encourage you to “attend” one of the performance times so you can catch the talk-back afterwards, your ticket will grant you access for the full two weeks so you can watch any time!
